Using Slack for the Hudson Finance Decoder Project

We are using the tool Slack for questions and discussions.  When you join the Hudson Finance Decoder Project we will send you a link to Slack which you can install on your desktop or device.

Creating a Finance Decoder is a new thing that none of us have done before so you will likely have one or two questions.  Your question may have been asked before, or your question may be unique to you and the Finance Decoder you are working on.  Ask any question that helps you accomplish your goal!   

If you have not used Slack before it is a typical tool that allows you to ask questions, receive responses, review existing comments and questions, and more.

We are starting with a number of Channels:

#all-hudson-finance-decoder-project - This is our channel for announcements, updates and more.

#help-creating-finance-decoder - If you are having any issues with the initial Google Sheet, copying it, editing it, or other issues, this is your place to ask questions.

#help-with-financial-statements - Finding information in an audited financial statement can be challenging, or you may just want some validation of what you are seeing.  Post your question or request here and we will help you.

#sharing-your-finance-decoder - You have created a Finance Decoder for your local government and we want you to share the results of your work.  We have many ideas on how you can do that so that your work is seen by (and can influence the thinking of) many people.

#welcome - We will welcome anyone who enters the Hudson Finance Decoder Project community.
